Mechanical calculators cover machine elements — the shafts, gears, springs, bearings, and fasteners that transmit motion and carry load inside a machine. This category is in development and no tools are published yet.

The planned tools follow the usual design references: Lewis and AGMA for gear tooth stress, ASME B106 for shafts under combined bending and torsion, ISO 281 for bearing life, and the Goodman criterion for fatigue under a mean stress.

Until then, nothing on this page is a working tool. The lists below show what the category will hold and which published calculators already overlap with it, so a visit here does not end in a dead end.
